Cherry Kino events this weekend!


Cherry Kino is delighted to present three different film events THIS WEEKEND as part of the Saltaire Arts Trail, with the generous support of Arts Council England and Bradford City of Film.

On Saturday 5th May from 7pm til 11pm, Cherry Kino will take part in the ‘Wundernacht’ event, a huge extravaganza involving art installations, music, a curated bookshelf, animation, and fancy dress fun, you will be able to catch the films made on the Super8 filmmaking course, shown on their original format. Experience a variety of unique films which were entirely hand processed and edited, and subject to a variety of chemical and organic manipulations, including some black and white films processed in coffee and washing soda! >On Sunday from 2pm - 4pm there will be a FREE screening of the 16mm films of Storm de Hirsch - joyous, hallucinatory, intensely colourful, dynamic and rhythmical works, projected in the atmospheric top room of the Salts Mill building:

Also on Sunday, from 7pm - 9pm, come and visit the village launderette in Saltaire for ‘Washday Blues’, a free installation of Super8 and 16mm film footage of washing hanging out to dry, shot in Shipley and hand-processed at the Cherry Kino Lab.
