Super 8 and 16mm workshop in Beirut

LABeirut - Super 8 and 16mm Film Workshop

Lebanese filmmaker Siska and LaborBerlin members Michel Balagué and Philip Widmann will offer an intensive workshop on analog film practice in Beirut at the Zico House from January 6th to 12th, 2012.

During LABeirut’s seven days, twelve participants will learn how to operate Super 8 and 16mm film cameras, expose different film stocks as well as hand-process, edit and finally project their own films.

Prospective participants need no previous knowledge of working with analog film, although experience in camera-based visual practices – photography, video or film – will be an asset.

The January 6th first introductory meeting will be followed by a public screening of various works by members of LaborBerlin e.V. at the Zico House. On January 12th, the films produced by LABeirut’s participants will be shown at the Metropolis Cinema.
