Before DUring

The material and mechanics which form the aftermath of the moments before and during the making of the film itself.

There is a rumination on the analog filmmaking process, exemplified through an unusually slow frame rate and moving lights set amongst analog filmmaking tools and materials. There is a sense of urgency and repetition in the images hinting at the methodical and detail orientated workflow it takes to make analog films… analog.

The film was partly shot at the artists own studio as well as at Artist Film Workshop.
