The lab was founded at 2004. It’s a small hand-made film lab, but first attempt in Korea. We have darkroom for hand processing, optical printer, steenbeck, bolexes and almost all kind of 16 or super 8mm equipment.
we have hand-made filmmaking workshop about 4 times a year. There are 2 kinds. One is for beginners, and the other is advanced course for experienced filmmakers. Each program includes 10 lectures and making participant’s own films. We already had 10 times of workshop and preparing for new one.
Also, there are some filmmakers keep working at the lab(about 10 filmmakers). Last summer, we participated in Exis 2007 as a hand-made film lab section. There, six filmmakers (including myself) had a chance to reveal their hand-made films.
We also have screening program introducing experimental films. Coming winter we are planning new screening programs.
The lab is open to filmmakers at a membership base. We get some fund from government, but not enough to run the space.
