Super Lab Solar emerged in 2020 as an independent space focused on photochemical experimentation with an emphasis on experimental cinema. Located in Curitiba, southern Brazil, the lab is managed by artists and filmmakers Francisco Benvenuto and Lígia Teixeira, who not only carry out their own artistic work but also offer workshops on super-8mm and 16mm filmmaking, film development, alternative botanical development processes, found footage, animation, performances, expanded cinema, among others. Francisco and Lígia are also directors and curators of the Pan-Cinema Experimental – Curitiba Int’l Exp. Film Festival.
