CEIS8 is a self-managed artistic collective of experimental cinema, dedicated to develope original work, and investigate film formats.
Is based in Santiago, Chile.
Over the last years, the collective has devoted its time and efforts to make public film shows and Expanded Cinema, non-competitive film screens, workshops for adults and childrens, as well as courses in schools and universities. CEIS8 has also created artistic work for festivals located in urban and isolated places of the Chilean territory like Patagonia, Arica, Santiago, and Valparaiso. And also in events out of the country like in Arequipa, Peru and Guayaquil, Ecuador, among others.
In their work space they’ve implemented a 16mm & s8mm developing laboratory, currently one of the two available in the country
CEIS8 has collaborated in workshops and film screenings with NANOLAB (Australia), AGX Collective (Boston, USA),Festival Corrientes (Peru), among others friends and partners.
