La Pieza Oscura (2022) is a laboratory and creative workshop dedicated to the photochemical image located in southern Chile. It is a self-managed project, run by female artists, which seeks to share knowledge and bring the community closer to the practice of film through different workshops, as well as providing a “DIY” working space. The laboratory is equipped to process and work with film and photography. We have developing tanks, photo enlargers, 16mm and super 8mm projectors. We collaborate with other entities and filmmakers in order to organize public screenings and promote film creation.
