NEGATIVELAND is a film laboratory dedicated to the continued creative use of photochemical motion‐pictures.
Our specialization is processing and scanning Super 8mm and 16mm film. In addition, we offer archival preservation, workflow guidance, and a variety of traditional film‐to‐film post-production services, including optical printing.
We work and collaborate with a wide array of filmmakers, artists, production professionals, as well as institutions, families, and personal archives.
As part of our mission, we provide opportunities for instruction in all aspects of photochemical filmmaking. Much of our facility and equipment are available for public use with a special focus on darkroom processes, traditional film editing, and projection.
